A temperature reading needs a response pathway.

Monitoring is more than a graph. Agree the location, selected equipment, data connection and people who respond before expecting a live service. This is a software procurement guide, not advice about the suitability of a medicine after an excursion.

01

Match the equipment to the setting

ColdSense360 offers Wi-Fi options for storage and 4G options for shipments, with temperature, humidity or location options depending on the selected equipment. Confirm coverage, mounting, calibration arrangements and provider/API setup for the actual installation.

  • Fridge, cold room or vehicle clearly identified
  • Device capability and connectivity confirmed
  • Calibration and commissioning responsibilities agreed
02

Test failure as well as normal readings

A demonstration should distinguish an out-of-limit reading from missing data, a flat battery or lost connectivity. Agree thresholds and alert recipients with your responsible team; do not assume one universal range or response period suits every product and setting.

  • Thresholds agreed for the monitored location
  • Alert escalation and out-of-hours ownership
  • Connectivity loss and restoration tested
03

Keep the reading with the investigation

Reading history and excursion alerts can support your quality review. Record the relevant times, location, stock or shipment context and the authorised outcome in your procedures. Monitoring itself cannot decide whether a medicine should be used, released or discarded.

  • Trace the event to the correct location or shipment
  • Retain evidence according to your policy
  • Review authorised actions and closure
