Make implementation a controlled handover.

A demonstration establishes product fit. Implementation establishes whether your data, people and connected systems are ready to use it. Agree responsibilities and acceptance evidence before selecting a cutover date.

01

Prepare records before importing them

Confirm product identifiers, units, pack conversions, batches, expiries, locations and opening stock. Assign an owner to resolve duplicates or incomplete records. A row count is not enough: reconcile quantities and the meaning of each field with your operational team.

  • Product, supplier and customer record ownership
  • Opening-stock reconciliation
  • Historical records and retention scope
02

Test end-to-end and exception journeys

Use a de-identified receipt-to-dispatch or central-store-to-branch example. Include a wrong scan, short receipt, hold, return and interface rejection as applicable. Confirm who can make decisions and what history remains after each change.

  • Roles, access and approval decisions
  • Devices, labels, network and interfaces
  • Written acceptance criteria and evidence
03

Rehearse cutover and ongoing ownership

Agree training, backup and recovery arrangements, escalation contacts and the contingency if a handover cannot complete. Product-specific support is governed by your contract; this guide does not promise a response time or fixed rollout duration.

  • Named go/no-go decision makers
  • Contingency and recovery rehearsal
  • Support, monitoring and catalogue maintenance owners
Make it specific

Bring one real workflow. Leave the patient details out.

Use de-identified examples to agree product fit, configuration, responsibilities and acceptance criteria. This guide is software procurement information, not clinical or regulatory advice.
